Public prices involving boohoo group
- The e-commerce and digital assets and associated intellectual property rights of the Burton, Dorothy Perkins and Wallis brands, including customer data (over two million active customers in 2020), related business information and inventory, bought by boohoo group plc from the joint administrators of Arcadia Group Limited. No stores, concessions or franchises; HIIT excluded.
Status: bankrupt (Arcadia Group, UK administration). Lot: brand and data plus inventory, no stores. Price stated by the buyer. The same buyer paid GBP 55 million for Debenhams' IP and customer data two weeks earlier (debenhams-ip-customer-data-boohoo-55m-gbp). Filed as the whole lot's value (unit contract), as the 19 Oct Rite Aid lot was, so a brand's price does not set the rate for a company's records alone. Region: UK.
£25.2 million in cashper sale of one company's three brands with their e-commerce assets, customer data and inventory
- All the intellectual property assets of Debenhams Retail Limited (in administration), including customer data, related business information and selected contracts (the Debenhams brand and its online platform of about 300 million UK website visits a year), bought from its joint administrators by boohoo group plc. No stores or stock.
Status: bankrupt (UK administration). Lot: brand and data; the announcement says the transaction does not include Debenhams' retail stores, stock or any financial services, and a licence lets the stores wind down. The buyer states the price in its own stock-exchange announcement. Debenhams reported unaudited gross transaction value of GBP 1.524 billion in its year to 31 Aug 2020, so the lot sold for about 3.6% of one year's sales. Filed as the whole lot's value (unit contract), as the 19 Oct Rite Aid lot was, so a brand's price does not set the rate for a company's records alone. Region: UK.
